Autism questionnaire (Autism Quotient AQ)

Autism spectrum conditions are associated with differences in social communication, sensory processing and patterns of behaviour. These characteristics exist on a spectrum, and many people recognise some of these traits in themselves without meeting the criteria for a clinical diagnosis.

The AQ-50 is a questionnaire used to detect autistic traits. The scale was developed by Baron-Cohen and colleagues at the University of Cambridge.

The questionnaire is intended for educational and self-reflection purposes only. It cannot diagnose autism and should not replace a formal assessment by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
